Gymnasts Earn MAC Weekly Awards

Sarah Ebeyer was named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week, while Brooke Evans received the MAC's Specialist of the Week award for their performances in Ball State's win at Illinois State last week.
Ebeyer competed in three events in her first meet as a freshman. She tied Evans for second on the vault with a 9.70 score, tied for third on the balance beam with a 9.575 and placed fourth on the floor exercise with a 9.675 mark.
Evans tied for second on the vault with a 9.70 in her first meet since suffering a knee injury last August.
Ball State tallied a 189.0 to 188.95 win at Illinois State to improve to 1-0 on the season under first-year head coach Joanna Saleem.
