Gymnastics Team Signs Jordyn Penny to Scholarship

Jordyn Penny, a senior at Waubonsie Valley High School in Illinois, has signed a national letter of intent to compete on the Ball State gymnastics team, according to first-year head coach Joanna Saleem.
“We are excited to welcome Jordyn to the Ball State family," Saleem says. "She is a strong all-around gymnast who should be able to make an immediate impact on the team as a freshman in 2014-15.”
Penny competes for Phenom Gymnastics for coaches Marco Bravo and Jessica Holtz. She owns Level 10 high scores of 9.7 on the vault, 9.325 on tha bars, 9.5 on the beam, 9.125 on the floor and 37.6 in the all-around.
Penny, the daughter of Russell and Joyce Penny, owns a 3.7 cumulative grade-point average on her school's 4.0 scale.
