Men's Tennis Suffers 6-1 Loss at Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team (16-9, 2-2 MAC) suffered a 6-1 loss to Western Michigan Saturday afternoon at the West Hills Athletic Club.
The Cardinals made an early surge at the beginning of doubles play after the No. 1 doubles tandem of Dalton Albertin and Ray Leonard captured the 9-7 defeat over Nadin Indre and Zeyad Montasser. Western Michigan would then win at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to take the doubles point.
In singles action the lone Cardinal to win their match was Leonard who beat Pablo Olivarez 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Leonard improved his overall record to 17-8 with the victory and 3-1 in Mid-American Conference action.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues league action when it hosts Buffalo Saturday at 1 p.m.
