Aaron Mershman's New Life in Football

Tight end Aaron Mershman was in line to make an impact with the Cardinals this fall. A former quarterback, Mershman was entering his third year as a tight end and had molded into a solid parter with Zane Fakes at the position. His outlook changed this spring, however, when he suffered what could be his sixth or seventh concussion. The hit ended Mershman's career, but spawned the next step in his life and football journey. Take a look at Mershman's story and his new role with the football Cardinals.
In two seasons, the Bowling Green, OH native had 18 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He caught scores against Liberty in 2010 an Central Michigan in 2011. His Liberty touchdown put the Cardinals ahead in that game 17-14.
