Football's Nathan Ollie Earns MAC Award

Nathan Ollie, a junior defensive tackle on the Ball State football team, has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Cardinals 41-30 win at Central Michigan Saturday.
Ollie recovered a third quarter fumble forced on a sack by Brandon Newman plus tallied a sack in the Ball State victory. He totaled five tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss and the one fumble recovery in the contest vs. the Chippewas.
On the season, Ollie has 30 tackles four tackles for loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery.
Ball State is 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the MAC. The Cardinals will travel to Army for an out of conference game Saturday at noon and then return to MAC play Tues., Nov. 6, at Toledo. Ball State's final two games of the regular season will be vs. Ohio in Muncie, Ind., Wed., Nov. 14, and at Miami University Fri., Nov. 23.
