Gymnastics Team Hosts Kent State Friday

Ball State's gymnastics team will host perennial Mid-American Conference power Kent State at Irving Gym in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center Friday at 7 p.m.
The Cardinals suffered a loss in their MAC opener at Central Michigan last week after posting a victory in their home opener over Illinois State.
Ball State will enter the event with a 1-2 overall mark and a 0-1 conference record, while Kent State owns a 1-1 overall and MAC ledger.

At CMU last week, Julie Cotter tied for first on the bars with a 9.775. Angie Hosbach was second on the floor with a 9.725, while Aftyn Siemer finished fourth with a 9.650. Nicole Allen tied for third on the vault with a 9.75, while Siemer was fifth with a 9.70. Kayla Kmiecik was fourth on the beam with a 9.625 mark.
