
Gymnastics Team Suffers Loss at Central Michigan

Ball State's gymnastics team suffered a 193.350 to 190.100 loss at Central Michigan in its Mid-American Conference season opener.
With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the MAC.
Julie Cotter was the team's top performer on the bars with a 9.775 to tie for first with CMU's Kylie Fagan and Brittany Petzold.
Ball State had its best showing on the floor where Angie Hosbach was second with a 9.725 and Aftyn Siemer finished fourth with a 9.650.
On the vault, Nicole Allen tied for third with a 9.75, while Siemer was fifth with a 9.700.
Ball Sate's Kayla Kmiecik was fourth on the balance beam with a 9.625 mark.
The Cardinals will continue their 2012 campaign with a home meet vs. Kent State at 7 p.m. Friday in Irving Gym in the Ball State Student and Wellness Recreation Center.
