MBB Game At Kent State Selected For ESPNU Broadcast

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Mid-American Conference office announced Friday that the Ball State men's basketball game at Kent State Saturday, February 11 has been selected for an ESPNU broadcast as part of the conference's 21-day flex schedule package. Game time for the divisional contest is set for 11 a.m. at the M.A.C.C. in Kent, Ohio. This marks the second ESPNU broadcast the Cardinals have been chosen for this season as the January 28 game at Ohio is also slated for a telecast.
The Cardinals are tied for the top spot in the MAC this season with a 3-1 record, matching the marks of Eastern Michigan and Akron. Ball State is coming off a 21-point victory at Central Michigan Wednesday evening and has won five out of its last six games. The Cardinals owns the league's top defense as they are holding opponents to 57.7 points per game and just 37.4 percent shooting from the field.
The Cardinals are paced offensively by preseason All-MAC West selection Jarrod Jones (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City) who ranks second in the conference in both scoring (16.9) and rebounding (8.4).Ball State wraps up its first run through the MAC West Division Saturday evening as it takes on Northern Illinois in DeKalb. Game time is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast on the Ball State Sports Network (BSSN).
Kent State has a 12-5 record overall and a 2-2 mark in MAC play. The Golden Flashes are led by reigning MAC Player of the Year Justin Green who averages 12.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season. Kent State also boasts a 20-3 record at home at the M.A.C.C. the past two years, including a 7-1 mark so far this season. The Golden Flashes wrap up their first run through the MAC East Division Saturday evening at Akron.
