Kayla Kmiecik Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

Kayla Kmiecik, a senior member of the Ball State gymnastics team, has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week for her performance vs. Illinois State Jan. 13.
Kmiecik helped the Cardinals to a 191.625 to 191.275 victory over Illinois State to even the team's record at 1-1 on the season.
Kmiecik tied for first in the floor exercise with a career high 9.800 plus tied for second on the bars with a 9.625. In addition, Kmiecik managed a 9.625 on the beam.
This marks the first time in Kmiecik's career she has won the weekly award.
Ball State returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. at Central Michigan.
