Ball State Sports Link, the nation's first fully immersive sports media and production program, will opened its 2011-12 year with a live online broadcast from Wednesday's Athletics Fan Jam festivities at Scheumann Stadium.
The SL2 production, hosted by senior Kyle Binder and junior Pat Boylan, was streamed FREE online at ballstatesports.com. Juniors Katie Hawkins and Chris Renkel reported from the field.
Ball State head football coach Pete Lembo, women's volleyball head coach Steve Shondell and several student-athletes from Ball State's fall sports were featured.

Ball State officially begins the 2011-12 academic year August 22 with 21 students contributing to the program in the Fall semester. A tentative schedule of Fall SL broadcasts -- across all platforms (SL Radio, SL TV and SL Web) -- will number over 75 events and will be released soon.
For the 2011-12 year, SL2 will be additional coverage of Ball State sports with exclusive web-only productions streamed to ballstatesports.com and facebook.com/BallStateSportsLink.
All SL TV and SL Radio productions will be available for free online, with several productions available on WIPB-TV (Muncie), Muncie Comcast 60 or 61, Cardinal Vision 57, Indiana Comcast 81, Comcast On Demand and nationally through an enhanced partnership with Fox College Sports.
