Two Gymnasts Earn All-MAC Honors

Nicole Allen, a sophomore member of the Ball State women's gymnastics team, and junior Brittney Emmons, received All-Mid-American Conference honors this season.
Allen was named to the All-MAC First Team, while Emmons was named to the second team for the second straight season.
Allen and Emmons each qualified for the NCAA Regional in the all-around. Allen placed 19th at the Regional, while Emmons placed 15th.
At the MAC Championships, Allen was the co-champion on the vault and the floor. She managed a career high 9.900 on the vault and tied her career best on the floor at the MAC meet with a 9.875. Allen competed in all 13 meets and won or tied for the vault title in eight meets.
Emmons competed in all 13 events for the Cardinals in 2011. She placed third on the vault, tied for seventh in the all-around, tied for eighth on the beam and tied for 15th on the floor at the MAC Championships. Emmons managed Ball State's best all-around (39.175) and bars score (9.825) on the season, while posting the team's second best vault (9.850) and floor (9.825).
