Brittney Emmons Named to Gymnastics All-MAC Second Team

Brittney Emmons, a sophomore member of the Ball State gymnastics team, earned All-Mid-American Conference Second-Team honors for her performance during the 2010 season.
Emmons, who has qualified for the NCAA Central Regional in the all-around April 10 in Lexington, Ky., placed fifth in the all-around at the MAC Championships with a 38.850 score. In addition at the MAC, she tied for ninth in the vault with a 9.775, tied for 10th on the floor with a 9.80 and tied for 17th on the balance beam with a 9.675.
Emmons, who is ranked 50th in the nation on the floor, posted seven first-place finishes for the Cardinals on the floor this season. She managed three first place showings on the vault, two in the all-around and one on the bars. Emmons managed a career best 9.900 on the floor in a meet at New Hampshire, which tied for the 10th best floor score by a Ball State gymnast in the school's history.
Emmons qualified for the Central Regional last season as a freshman on the vault and the floor.
