Individual Gymnasts Ranked Regionally and Nationally

Ball State's gymnastics team has three individuals -- Tiffany Brodbeck, Brittney Emmons and Bibiana Rodriguez -- ranked regionally and nationally in the latest NCAA Rankings for Women's Gymnastics.
Brodbeck is tied for 17th in the Central Region on the floor with a Regional Qualifying Score of 9.820. She managed a career high 9.90 on the floor in Sunday's home meet vs. Eastern Michigan. The 9.90 ties for the 10th best floor performance in Ball State history. Brodbeck was Ball State's top competitor on the floor at the New Hampshire meet (9.85), which included Utah State and Yale. Brodbeck also tied for Ball State's top performance on the floor with a 9.775 in the Cardinals meet vs. Kent State.
Emmons is seventh in the Central Region and tied for 43rd in the nation on the floor with a 9.860 RQS. She has posted first-place finishes on the floor in seven of Ball State's 11 meets this season. Emmons posted a career best 9.900 on the floor in the Cardinals meet at New Hampshire. Emmons also ranks 23rd in the Region in the all-around with a 38.675 RQS. She has won two all-around titles this season, and owns a career best 39.300 score in a meet at Illinois State earlier this year.
Rodriguez is tied for 19th in the Central Region on the bars with a 9.795 RQS. She managed a career high 9.875 on the bars at Illinois State and tied for Ball State's top honors on the bars at New Hampshire with a 9.775 score. Rodriguez won the bars at Illinois State and vs. Bowling Green (9.850).
Ball State, under the direction of third-year head coach Nadalie Walsh, has moved up to ninth in the Central Regional Team Rankings. Ball State is the third best MAC school in the region. Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Kentucky are the top four schools in the Region, while Central Michigan is fifth, followed by Michigan State, Kent State and Ohio State. Ball State is ninth in the Central Region and third among MAC schools.
