Gymnasts Ranked Regionally and Nationally

Ball State has three gymnasts -- Brittney Emmons, Tiffany Brodbeck and Bibiana Rodriguez -- ranked in the top 20 in the Central Region and the Cardinals are ranked 40th in the nation as a team based on team scores so far this season.
Emmons, a sophomore for the Cardinals, is ranked sixth in the Region and is tied for 29th in the nation in the floor exercise. Emmons owns a career high 9.875 on the floor, which she accomplished earlier this season in a meet at Illinois State. She is averaging 9.721 on the season on the floor and owns a 9.830 Regional Qualifying Standard, which is computed by eliminated a gymnasts low score and high score on the season. Emmons has won the floor exercise in six of the team's seven meets this season. She qualified for the NCAA Central Regional on the vault and floor last season for the Cardinals.
Brodbeck, a freshman for the Ball State gymnastics team, is tied for 20th in the Central Region on the floor. She managed a career best 9.850 in a three-way meet at New Hampshire and is averaging 9.754 this season. Brodbeck owns a 9.760 Regional Qualifying Standard.
Rodriguez, a senior for the Cardinals, is tied for 11th in the Central Region on the bars. She posted a career high 9.875 in Ball State's meet at Illinois State earlier this season and owns a 9.679 average. Rodriguez owns a 9.755 Regional Qualifying Standard.
Ball State hosts Mid-American Conference foe Kent State Sunday at 1 p.m. at Worthen Arena in the Cardinals' Alumni Day Meet.
