Three Softball Players Named to All-Tournament Team

Ball State's softball team had three players named to the Phyllis Rafter Memorial All-Tournament Team for their performances in last weekend's event.
Elizabeth Milian was named as a pitcher, while Jen Reifschneider and Jessie Ware were named as position players.
Milian managed a 2-1 mark with a 0.45 earned-run average. She pitched 20 innings, allowing only eight hits and striking out 35 batters while walking only six. Milian tallied wins over Tennessee Tech and Kennesaw State and suffered her only loss of the tournament to Southern Illinois by a 1-0 margin. Against Tennessee Tech, Milian pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and striking out 13 batters. Against Kennesaw State, she pitched seven innings and struck out 13 batters, while allowing only two hits. In her lone setback vs. Southern Illinois, Milian pitched six innings and struck out nine while allowing three hits. She gave up her only run of the tournament in the bottom of the sixth vs. SIU.
Reifschneider tallied a .250 batting average in five games with one homerun, one double and three runs-batted-in. Reifschneider's first at bat of the 2010 season resulted in a three run homer to lift Ball State to a 4-0 win over Tennessee Tech in the season opener. She doubled in the second inning of the Kennesaw State game and scored the lone run of the contest to lift the Cardinals to a victory.
Ware managed three hits, with two doubles, two stolen bases, one RBI and one run scored in five games. Ware singled in her first at bat of the season and scored on Reifschneider's HR vs. Tennessee Tech. Ware tallied doubles vs. Kennesaw State and Western Illinois.
Ball State will continue the season at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn., Friday through Sunday.
