Men's Hoops Hosts UT Martin In ESPNU BracketBusters

MUNCIE, Ind. - The 2010 ESPNU BracketBusters pairings have been announced and the Ball State men's basketball team will host UT Martin from the Ohio Valley Conference February 20 at Worthen Arena with the game time to be announced at a later date. The Cardinals are 11-9 on the season and own a 5-3 Mid-American Conference record.
Ball State has been part of the BracketBusters event since its inception eight seasons ago as the MAC is a charter member of the event. The Cardinals are hosting a BracketBusters game for the fifth time in program history and for the second straight season.
Ball State and UT Martin have met one other time in program history with the Cardinals earning an 88-41 victory in Muncie December 6, 1991. UT Martin is currently 3-17 on the season, including 0-10 in OVC play. The Skyhawks have four players averaging double figures, including Marquis Weddle who leads the team at 15.6 points per game.
All 12 MAC schools participate in the ESPNU BracketBusters event. Games in the MAC include Valparaiso at Bowling Green, Buffalo at Saint Peters, Tennessee State at Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan at Detroit, Southeast Missouri State at Miami, Northern Illinois at Eastern Illinois, Wright State at Ohio, Toledo at Cleveland State and Western Michigan at Southern Illinois. Akron and Kent State are slated for televised matchups with opponents announced later Monday evening.
