
Women?s S&D Earns Ball State Relay Invitational Title

BSU's score of 258 topped Evansville (148), IUPUI (74) and Butler (28). Overall, the Cardinals won 11 of the 12 events in the meet which was comprised entirely of relay events.
Ball State started the meet in solid fashion, as Maria Gramelspacher, Alanna Bader and Mallory Miles combined to win the 300 butterfly relay by nearly 10 seconds with a clocking of 2:56.76.
In the 300 backstroke relay, Emily Wisolek, Haley Richter and Nicole Saulters turned in a winning time of 3:00.44.
Mackenzie Imbro, Stacey Wierman and Bridgett Ruehl combined to win the 300 breaststroke relay, clocking in at 3:26.99.
In the first four-member relay, Gramelspacher, Katie Bylsma, Jillian Bischoff and Wisolek turned in a time of 7:58.81 to take home top billing in the 800 freestyle relay.
Whitney Adams and Christina Riordan continued BSU's winning streak, capturing first on the one-meter diving relay with a score of 247.43. The pair also picked up a win in the three-meter diving relay with a score of 248.02.
In the 500 freestyle relay, Mallory Przybylinski, Imbro, Mia Miller and Richter turned in a winning effort of 4:48.28.
Bader, Ruehl, Gramelspacher and Saulters followed with a first-place time of 1:51.55 in the 200 medley relay, while Przybylinski, Betsy Bowen, Miller and Bylsma combined to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:39.93.
In the 400 medley relay, Miles, Richter, Jackie Iglesias and Bader took home the top spot with a time of 4:08.32.
Wisolek, Saulters, Bowen and Bylsma completed the meet with a first-place effort of 3:38.85 in the 400 freestyle relay.
The Ball State men's swimming & diving team returns to action Sunday, Oct. 24, when it travels to Charleston, Ill., to battle Eastern Illinois at 1 p.m. (CT).
