October 27, 2010 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State head women's basketball coach Kelly Packard has been selected to represent the Mid-American Conference in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 USA Today ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll as a voter.
"I am honored to represent the MAC on such a prestigious national coaches poll," said Packard. "I value each opportunity to become more networked into the presence of women's basketball on a national level."
The 2010-11 women's basketball season marks Packard's third season with the Cardinals. In the last two seasons, Packard has managed a 40-26 (.606) overall record at Ball State, guided BSU to its third MAC West Division title, its first MAC Tournament Championship and its first NCAA Tournament berth.
The Ball State women's basketball team will open its 2010-11 season at home against Big Ten foe Indiana Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
