The Last Meeting: The Cardinals suffered a 37-30 defeat in Muncie, Ind., to the Toledo Rockets Oct. 3, 2009, in the last meeting between the two teams . . . In a game that went back and forth the entire contest, Ball State orchestrated a 10-play, 66-yard drive in 2:52 that resulted in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Kelly Page to wide receiver Torieal Gibson with 42 seconds left in the contest . . . With the score, Toledo led 29-28 and the Cardinals elected to go for the two-point conversion and the lead . . . MiQuale Lewis answered the call and rushed around the left end to give Ball State a 30-29 with 42 seconds remaining . . . But 15 seconds later, Toledo would score on a 51-yard touchdown pass and complete the two-point conversion to win the game, 37-30.
Ball State Head Coach Stan Parrish: Stan Parrish (Heidelberg '69) is in his sixth season at Ball State and his second as the Cardinals head coach . . . He was named the school's 15th head football coach Dec. 18, 2008, and was the head mentor in Ball State's Jan. 6, 2009, GMAC Bowl appearance . . . Parrish became the first Ball State assistant coach promoted to head coach since Wave Myers in 1968 . . . One of five finalists for the 2008 Broyles Award, which goes to the nation's top assistant, Parrish owns a 61-57-3 career head coaching record at Wabash (1978-82), Marshall (1984-85), Kansas State (1986-88) and Ball State . . . Parrish earned a college football national championship ring as a member of the 1997 Michigan coaching staff and owns an NFL Super Bowl ring after serving as quarterbacks coach of the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers . . . Parrish has been selected for induction into the Heidelberg College Athletic Hall of Fame . . . Parrish is a part of the 25th induction class in school history and will be officially enshrined in October.

The Coach: Tim Beckman (Findlay '88) is in his second year at Toledo and in his second year as a collegiate head coach and owns a 9-10 mark.
The Stats: Toledo is averaging 124.0 rushing yards and 175.7 passing yards per game this season, while allowing opponents 116.3 rushing yards and 244.9 passing yards a contest . . . Austin Dantin has completed 112-of-172 passes for 1,059 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions . . . Eric Page has been the top target with 54 catches for 580 yards with two TDs.
