The Cardinals are 2-2 on the season after finishing second of four teams in last weekend's meet at New Hampshire. The host Wildcats won the event, while Ball State defeated Utah State and Yale.
At UNH, Brittany Emmons won the all-around with a 38.525 score. She was second on the floor with a 9.90 score, while placing fifth on the vault with a 9.725. Emmons tallied career highs in the floor exercise, bars and all-around. Her 9.900 on the floor, which included a perfect 10.0 score from one judge, ties for the 10th best effort in Ball State history. It was the highest floor score for a Ball State gymnast since 2004.
Bibiana Rodriguez and Julie Cotter tied for third on the bars with a pair of 9.775 scores.
Tiffany Brodbeck tied for fourth on the floor with a 9.850, while Kayla Kmiecik tied for sixth after posting a 9.775.
Kmiecik led the Cardinals and placed seventh on the beam with a 9.675. Emily Wehrle and Katelyn Busacker tied for eighth on the beam with a pair of 9.650 scores.
Ball State will travel to Northern Illinois Jan. 31, to continue the Mid-American Conference season.
