Women?s Volleyball Hosts Alumni Match Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State women's volleyball fans will get their first chance to see the 2009 squad in action Saturday (Aug. 22), when the program hosts its third-annual Alumni Match at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena. Admission to the match, which is slated to be three games played to 25 points each, is FREE.
In addition to the action on the court, promotional contests will be run throughout the night. Fans will also be able to pick up FREE Ball State women's volleyball posters and schedule cards at the match.
The Ball State women's volleyball team officially kicks off the 2009 season Aug. 28 when it travels to West Lafayette, Ind., to battle in-state rival and 2008 NCAA Regional Semifinalist Purdue at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Mortar Board Premier Tournament.
The Cardinals first home match will come Sept. 4 when the team opens play in the Active Ankle Challenge versus another in-state rival, IPFW, at 7:30 p.m.
