Getting To Know BSU's Julie Breivogel

After blasting 321 kills as a junior for the Cardinals, Julie Breivogel enters her senior year five kills shy (995) of becoming just the 10th player in program history to record 1000 career kills. Breivogel, who paced the Cardinals with double-figure kills in 19 matches last season, tied a career-high with 22 kills versus Tennessee Tech. Tallied a career-high 21 digs in BSU's MAC Tournament First Round win over Eastern Michigan, while adding 11 kills.
In high school, Breivogel earned four letters at Boonville. She was named First Team All-State after guiding the Pioneers to a 35-3 record her senior season, including a 7-0 mark in Big 8 play. A three-time Big 8 All-Conference selection, Breivogel helped guide Boonville to back-to-back state tournament appearances for the first time in school history. In 432 career games for Boonville, she tallied 1,360 kills, 424 blocks, 424 digs, 118 aces and 18 assists.

What is your pet peeve? People wasting food. People who do not clean up after themselves

Funniest thing that has ever happened to you? Getting hit in the face by a volleyball Dave kicked. It hurt, but was funny later.
