Softball's Collins Earns All-Tournament Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State sophomore outfielder Alyssa Collins (Fortville, Ind./Mt. Vernon) has been named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team as announced by league officials Sunday.
It is the first time Collins has received the award, and second time for a Ball State player in program history since 2001. In three games she led the team going 4-for-7 at a .571 clip. She also logged one run and one stolen base. In the team's win against Bowling Green, Collins posted three of three hits and two RBI.
Miami defeated Western Michigan in the finals of the conference tournament and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history.
