Getting To Know BSU's Brittany McGinnis

As a freshman for the Cardinals last season, Brittany McGinnis was named to the All-MAC Freshman Team after proving to be one of the league's best all-around players. She finished the season with a team-best 17 double-doubles and a 9.80 assist-per-game average, while also ranking first on the team in aces (31), second in digs (312) and third in blocks per game (0.71).
Prior to joining the Cardinals, McGinnis earned four letters in volleyball at Fraser H.S., where she was a two-time team Most Valuable Player. She led the Ramblers to three Class A state semifinal appearances, including a championship berth her sophomore season. McGinnis also finished third in voting for the Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association 2007 Miss Volleyball award while earning first-team All-America accolades as a senior. McGinnis' sister, Angie, was a two-time SEC Player of the Year and two-time AVCA All-America selection at Florida.
