
Gymnastics Team Places Fourth at Arizona State

Ball State's women's gymnastics team placed fourth out of four teams at Arizona State's UNO's Classic Friday. The Cardinals managed a 192.925 team score, while Nebraska won the event with a 196.750. The host Sun Devils finished second with a 196.00 mark and Cal State Fullerton was fourth with a 194.500 mark.
Junior Bibiana Rodriguez-Lockwood tallied a career high 9.825 on the bars and tied for third in the event.
Freshman Brittney Emmons had a career high 9.825 on the floor, which was also a season best for any Ball State individual this season. In addition, Emmons scored a team best 9.825 on the vault to lead the Cardinals in that event.
On the beam, freshman Katelyn Busacker tallied a career high 9.800. Her mark was the second best for any Ball State student-athlete on the beam this season.
Ball State, which is in the second year of head coach Nadalie Walsh's rebuilding project, fell to 4-13 on the season. The Cardinals managed only one victory in Coach Walsh's first season in 2008.
