Sunday's Gymnastics Meet LIVE on WEBCAST!

The Ball State University women's gymnastics team, under the direction of second-year head coach Nadalie Walsh, will host the nationally ranked Northern Illinois Huskies Sunday at 2 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals are coming off a season high 191.525 in their last home meet vs. Central Michigan, while the Huskies will bring a 2-0 overall record and 2-0 Mid-American Conference mark to Muncie. NIU is ranked 26th in the nation with a team score average of 193.900 this season.
Individually, Ball State is led by fifth-year senior Teresa Phipps, who has four first-place finishes and one first-place tie this season. Phipps won the balance beam and all-around in the Cardinals season opener at Penn. She won the beam in the meet at Bowling Green, and tied for first in the bars at Kent State. In last week's home opener vs. CMU, Phips clamed a first in the vault with a 9.850.
Ball State's top event last week was the floor exercise where the Cardinals posted a season best team score of 48.350. Phipps was Ball State's top individual on the floor a week ago with a 9.775 mark.
Freshman Daneen Haba and junior Bibiana Rodriguez-Lockwood tied for Ball State's best performance on the bars last week with scores of 9.725, while freshman Domenique DeRosa was the Cardinals top performer on the balance beam with a 9.600.
Ball State and Northern Illinois have had only one common MAC opponent this season. The Cardinals suffered a 189.575-187.325 loss at Bowling Green, while the Huskies posted a 193.450-191.875 win at home over the Falcons.
The Cardinals will travel to Eastern Michigan Feb. 15 and compete at Southeast Missouri State Feb. 19. Ball State will return home Feb. 22 for its final home meet of the season against Western Michigan. The Cardinals will host the MAC Championships March 21 at Worthen Arena.
