Softball Prepares For Razorback Invitational Weekend

The Ball State softball team heads to the Holiday Inn-NWA Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The event will be Arkansas' first on its new home field, Bogle Park. The three-day tournament begins Friday as the Cardinals take on Wichita State at 1:30 p.m.
After compiling a 2-3 record during the Georgia Softball Classic last weekend, junior Jen Reifschneider leads Ball State with four hits, five RBI, three home runs for a 1.000 slugging percentage. Senior Allie Pennock follows right behind leading the team with eight hits, as well as four stolen bases. Over the course of three games, junior Elizabeth Milian has pitched 19 2/3 innings, striking out 24 batters. She currently owns a 3.92 ERA and a 2-1 record.
Scouting Wichita State
The Shockers (5-8) are currently on a three-game losing streak after going 2-3 in North Texas' Mean Green Classic last weekend. The team is led by junior Kara L'Huillier who hit .500 this past weekend with four doubles, two home runs and six RBI on her way to being named tournament MVP. This is the first meeting between the two teams.
Scouting Arkansas
The Razorbacks (7-7) won 1-of-4 games at the FAU/FIU Strikeout Cancer Tournament. Arkansas defeated Fordham, 7-3, in extra innings of the final game. The game gave head coach Jamie Pinkerton his 250th career win. Arkansas is led by junior Jessica Bachkora with 15 hits and 12 RBI, including three home runs. The all-time series stands at 1-0 for the Cardinals.
Scouting Bradley
Jackie Roth leads the Braves (6-3) with 11 hits, three RBI and a .407 batting average. The team is currently on a three-game winning streak after finishing 3-2 in Central Florida's Early Bird Tournament, winning 2-0 over #25 Kansas. The all-time series stands at 7-6 in favor of the Braves.
Scouting South Dakota State
The Jackrabbits (2-11) won their second game against St. Louis, 7-6, in the Tulsa Select Festival where they finished 1-3 in the event. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for South Dakota State after beating North Dakota 8-3 its first game. The Cardinals lead the all-time series 3-0.
