
Gymnastics Meet at SEMO Thursday LIVE on Webcast

The Ball State gymnastics team's meet at Southeast Missouri State Thursday will be available via live webcast courtesy of KFVS12.com, the CBS network affiliate in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The Cardinals (1-5) will compete in the Thursday meet scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. (ET) against a Southeast Missouri State team, which is ranked 25th in the country in the latest GymInfo National Poll. In addition, SEMO is currently in first place in the Midwest Independent Conference with a 6-0 mark and is 7-2 overall.
Ball State is led by fifth-year senior Teresa Phipps, who tied for first on the balance beam (9.750) and tied for first in the floor (9.800) in the Cardinals meet Sunday at Eastern Michigan. Phipps has finished first or tied for first seven times this season.
The Cardinals are coming off their best team performance in the vault after scoring a 48.625 in the event at EMU last Sunday. Junior Ashley Jacob and freshman Daneen Haba tied for first with scores of 9.800.
After the meet at Southeast Missouri State, the Cardinals will return to Worthen Arena for a Sunday meet vs. Western Michigan. Ball State will compete against the Broncos at 2 p.m. This will mark the Cardinals final home regular season meet of the year. However, Ball State will host the Mid-American Conference Championships March 21 at Worthen Arena.
