Women's Basketball Hosts Lady Toppers Monday At 7 p.m.

Scouting Ball State: Ball State lost its season opener at Michigan Nov. 13 by a score of 87-67. Junior forward Emily Maggert led the squad after recording her first double-double of the season after chipping in 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Newcomer and Muncie native junior guard Ty'Ronda Benning recorded 13 points and eight rebounds while teammate senior guard Audrey McDonald ended the night with 12 points. Ball State is coached by Kelly Packard who is in her second season at the helm of the Cardinals and owns a 26-10 overall record.
Scouting Western Kentucky: Western Kentucky won its season opener over Eastern Kentucky Nov. 14, 75-57 in E.A. Diddle Arena. Freshman guard Courtney Clifton dropped in a game-high 22 points to lead the Lady Toppers. Clifton was 7-for-13 from the field and 6-of-9 from three point range. Western Kentucky travels to Ball State for the first time in women's basketball history. The Lady Toppers are coach by Mary Taylor Cowles who is in her eighth season as the head coach at WKU and owns a 155-70 overall record.
A Banner Season Deserves A Ceremony: Ball State will take on Western Kentucky in its home opener Monday at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals will unveil their MAC Championship and NCAA banners before the game and recognize last seasons accomplishments in a brief ceremony. The Cardinals chose the Western Kentucky game because the Hilltoppers is where Ball State made history after defeating Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
