Softball Team Presented Championship Rings

The rings commemorate the achievements of the 2009 softball team as it captured the first ever MAC regular season title. The Cardinals finished 18-3 in conference, clinching the championship on May 2 with a 6-5 victory against Miami at the BSU Softball Complex.
Five Cardinals earned post season awards for their performance during the special season. Sophomore outfielder Alyssa Collins was named second team All-MAC and made the MAC All-Tournament team. Sophomore outfielder Lisa Rozanski and freshman designated player Amanda Montalto were named first team All-MAC. Junior Elizabeth Milian was named the MAC pitcher of the year, and sophomore shortstop Alicia Barkley was named the MAC player of the year. Head coach Craig Nicholson was also named Coach of the Year.
