Letter From Head Coach Nadalie Walsh
January 09, 2009 | Gymnastics
Gymnasts, former gymnasts, future gymnasts and fellow gymnastics enthusiasts,
In just my second season as head coach at Ball State University, I am proud to announce there have been many exciting things happening both inside and outside the gym to ensure the future growth and success of the Ball State Gymnastics program.
Some of this excitement includes:
? The arrival of new equipment ? including a vaulting table, spring board, uneven bars and landing mats
? A partnership with the Indianapolis-based leotard company, Motionwear, which has provided us with the ability to sport four shiny new leotards and a new warm-up jackets and pants this season
? The honor of hosting the Mid-American Conference Championships in Worthen Arena -- March 21, 2009
? Laying out the plans for our brand new practice facility and a renovated Irving Gym for our competitive events expected to be completed by 2010
None of these great things, however, compare to the positive and successful atmosphere built by our 10 hard working and experienced returnees and the eight talented and eager freshmen on this year's roster. I take pride in the fact our gym has been a positive place for everyone to practice, learn and grow as student-athletes.
This hard work and positive atmosphere embodies our team's motto ? "Leave Nothing Undone". To leave nothing undone, the team has been focusing on the small stuff ? talking to professors after class, not leaving bars until casts are to handstand and taking the extra minute to cheer on a teammate.
We invite you to become a part of our effort to "Leave Nothing Undone" in 2009. Show your support by joining us for a meet this season and wear your finest Cardinal and white.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Go Cardinals!
Nadalie Walsh
