Television Package Finalized for Football Season

The Mid-American Conference and Big Ten Conference have announced their television packages for the 2008 football season, and Ball State is scheduled to appear seven times this year.
Ball State's Sept. 27, game vs. Kent State will now be shown on ESPN Regional, which includes WTTV-Indianapolis plus stations in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton and numerous stations across the country. The Cardinals game at Indiana will now be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Ball State will have four games nationally televised on ESPN's family of networks, one game on ESPN Regional and one game on the Big Ten Network. In addition, Ball State's season finale vs. Western Michigan will be available on ESPN 360.
The Cardinals will open the season Thurs., Aug. 28, at Ball State's Scheumann Stadium at 7 p.m., before hosting Navy in a nationally televised game on ESPN Fri., Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.
The Cardinals completed the 2007 campaign with a 7-6 overall record and competed in the International Bowl, which was the first bowl appearance for Ball State since 1996. Ball State hosted Toledo on ESPN2 in 2007 plus played Rutgers in the bowl game on ESPN2 in Toronto, Canada.
