Cardinals Travel To BGSU For MAC Championships

Sprints
Sophomore Katie Johnson leads the Cardinals in the sprint events. Johnson holds the fastest 200-meter dash time clocking in at 25.23. Her best event may be in the 100-meter hurdles. She set a regional qualifying time at the Butler Open finishing the race in 13.73.
Megan Bevans and Erin Filak are the top two BSU competitors in the 400-meter dash. Bevans owns the Cardinals' top time of the season at 59.39 set at the Dave Rankin Inivitational, yet teammate Filak finished directly behind her finishing in 59.45.
Distance
Look for sophomore Ali Bishel to lead the distance crew this weekend at the MAC Championships. Bishel owns the Cardianls' top time in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:40.67. She set a regional qualifying time in the 5000-meter run at the Stan Lyons Invitational with a time of 16:23.39.
Sarah Kehe holds the fastest time in the 800-meter run for BSU. Kehe ran the 800 in 2:17.97 at the Stan Lyons Invitational. She also has the fastest 3000-meter (10:24.87) time on the team.
Jumps
Lauren McNichols and Jessica Genovese have each cleared 5-5 in the high jump for the Cardinals. McNichols also holds the best height in the pole vault event as she set the new outdoor school record at the Stan Lyons Invitational when she cleared 11-7 ?.
Amanda Barnhart has the best mark on the team in the long jump. Barnhart jumped 19-9 ? at the Stan Lyons Invitational. Jerrica Edmonds holds the best distance in the triple jump.
Throws
Senior Cara Collins will look to make an impact for the Cardinals in the throw events. Collins leads the team in the hammer throw (177-1), discus (147-3) and shot put (43-0 ?).
