Bishel Competes In Stanford Invitational

PALO ALTO, Calif. ? Ali Bishel represented the Ball State Cardinals with a fourth place finish at the 2008 Stanford University Invitational.

With some many participants at the meet the 10,000-meter run was divided into two sections.

Bishel finished in fourth place in her section with a time of 34:37.63. Bishel is now second all-time on the BSU track and field top ten records list in the 10,000-meter run.

Bishel competed against student-athletes from all over the country including Nebraska, Michigan, Arkansas, and Massachusetts. She also faced some unattached athletes.

Nebraska's Lara Crofford took first place with a time of 33:56.46. Heather Gibson (Asics Aggies) and Christina DeRosa (UMass) rounded out the top three.

Bishel and the rest of the Cardinals will travel to Oxford, Ohio this weekend to compete in the Miami Invitational.
