Garofano Named MAC West Pitcher Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Junior Tiffany Garofano (Alamogordo, N.M./Eastern Arizona) has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the week as announced by the league office March 19.

Garofano went 2-0 at the USF Under Armour Tournament. She shut down Long Island leading the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory. Garofano picked up her other win against Georgia Southern. She had an ERA of 1.00 over the weekend and struck out 11.

Garofano was also on the mound when the Cardinals defeated the Boston Terriers in 10 innings. She threw all 10 innings as recorded 10 strikeouts.

Overall Garofano is 5-5 with a 1.96 ERA. She leads the team in strikeouts with 66.
