
Gymnastics Loses Close Meet At Central Michigan

MT. PLEASANT, MICH. - The Ball State University women's gymnastics team (1-11, 0-6 MAC) barely lost to Central Michigan Saturday night, 192.150 to 191.950.
Senior Erica Gilkerson led the Cardinals with a top score of 9.725 on vault.
Sophomore Bibiana Rodriguez had a 9.750 performance on bars which was a team best for the Cardinals. Newcomer Katelyn Busacker earned a 9.650 on beam.
On floor, senior Kristen Sprague and junior Cobie Zuk tied with a career high 9.800 which was good for a second place finish.
Zuk claimed the victory in the all-around after scoring a 9.625 on vault, 9.575 on bars, 9.125 on beam and a 9.800 on floor. She totaled a 38.125 to beat out three Chippewas.
The Ball State University gymnastics team will end its regular season at home Friday, March 21 against Denver. The Cardinals will honor their seniors before the meet. The meet starts at 6 p.m. at Irving Gymnasium.
