Bishel Named MAC Track Athlete Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Sophomore Ali Bishel (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) was named MAC track athlete of the week, as announced by the league office Feb. 4.
Bishel competed in the Indiana Relays against schools such as Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Southern Illinois, Indiana and a mix of unattached athletes. She took first place in the 3000-meter run finishing the race in 9:43.59.
Bishel was a key member of the distance medley relay team that won with a time of 12:02.73. She also competed as part of the 4x800 meter relay team which finished fifth (9:18.10).
Bishel is currently second in the 3000-meter run (indoor) on the all-time BSU track and field top ten records list.
The Cardinals will travel to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the Meyo Invitational. The Meyo Invite is a two day event starting Feb. 8.
