Williams Qualifies For USA Indoor Championships

Williams Posts Three First Place Times At IWU Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. ? Redshirt senior Amber Williams qualified for the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships at the Meyo Invitational while competing as an unattached athlete.

Williams finished the 60-meter hurdles in second place with a time of 8.23 (her personal best is 8.19). Williams is the ninth of 16 entries for the championships meet.

Tiffany Ofili of Michigan won the race in 8.04. Ofili tied her own school and season collegiate record in the 60-meter hurdles with a first-place NCAA Automatic Qualifying time of 8.04 at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 16).

The USA Track and Field Indoor Championships will be held in Boston, Mass. The meet will begin on Saturday Feb. 23.
