Green Named MAC West Division Player of the Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Senior guard Porchia Green (Indianapolis, Ind./Arlington) of the Ball State University women's basketball team has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office today. This is Green's second time this season to garner such honors.

Green led the Cardinals in scoring and rebounding Saturday in Ball State's 72-71 overtime victory at Western Kentucky. Green netted 20 points while pulling down nine boards. Green helped Ball State become the only MAC school to have ever defeated the Hilltoppers, the conference was previously 0-13 versus WKU.

The Ball State University women's basketball team hosts Temple Monday night at Worthen Arena. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
