Football Team 10-0 For First Time In School History

OXFORD, Ohio ? The Ball State University football team (10-0, 6-0 MAC) improved to 10-0 on the season for the first time in school history with its 31-16 road win at Miami University (2-7, 1-4 MAC) Tuesday night in an ESPN2 nationally televised game.
"Winning on the road and winning in the conference are not easy things to do," said head Ball State football coach Brady Hoke. "Miami came ready to play and gave a great effort."
Junior quarterback Nate Davis and junior H-back MiQuale Lewis combined for 454 of
Lewis scored touchdowns at the 8:12 mark in the third quarter and then again with 9:58 left in the fourth quarter, increasing the Cardinals lead to the final margin of 31-16. Lewis has now rushed for at least for 100 yards in eight games this season and nine times in his career. He has rushed for at least one touchdown in eight straight games.
For only the second time this season
Sophomore kicker Ian McGarvey nailed a 46-yard field goal with no time left on the clock as the first half came to a close and gave the Cardinals a 17-13 lead at the half.
"We have weathered 10 storms but we have a long way to go," said Hoke. "We have stayed focused on what the goal is and the goal is to win a MAC Championship."
