January 05, 2008 | Football
DEKALB, Ill. - The
"Northern Illinois is a tough football team," Ball State head football coach Brady Hoke says. "They put a lot of pressure on our quarterback and disrupted some of our rhythm. We played as a team. We played together. Northern Illinois is well coached and today's game was against two good football teams."
With the win the Cardinals become 7-5 on the season and improve to 5-2 in the MAC. The Huskies end their season with a 2-10 overall record and are 1-6 in league play.
"We played for our seniors and we always will," Hoke says. "They have been here through four or five years, and trust me it is a grind. We will always play for those seniors who have put in a lot of time for this program."
