Ball State Head Coach Brady Hoke: Brady Hoke (Ball State ?82) is in his fifth year as the Cardinals head coach . . . Hoke is one of only 18 coaches in the country to be coaching at their alma mater in 2007.
Eastern Michigan Head Coach Jeff Genyk: Jeff Genyk (Bowling Green ?82) is in his fourth year as the head coach of the Eagles . . . Genyk entered the 2007 season with a 9-25 career coaching mark.
Scouting EMU: Eastern Michigan opened the season with a 27-3 loss at Pittsburgh Saturday . . . The Eagles scored first on a 27-yard field goal by Sean Dutcher with 3:30 remaining in the first quarter, but the Panthers managed 27 unanswered points . . . EMU posted a 1-11 overall record in 2006, including a 1-7 Mid-American Conference mark.
