Ball State Athletics Hires Walsh As Head Gymnastics Coach

MUNCIE, Ind. - Nadalie Walsh, who has spent the last four years (2003-07) as the head women's gymnastics coach at The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, has been named the fifth head gymnastics coach in Ball State University history, according to athletics director Tom Collins.
Walsh replaces Lisa Simonton, who resigned from her position in April after completing her second season in 2006-07.
Walsh's team claimed the 2007 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship - - the Division III National Title - - on March 23. She was named NCGA Coach of the Year in 2006 after guiding the Titans to a third place national finish. In 2005, Walsh was tabbed the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Coach of the Year after directing her team to a third place conference finish.
Over Walsh's tenure at UW-Oshkosh, her teams have broken numerous school records, including all five in the team category. Her gymnasts have received NCGA All-America honors along with NCGA Academic All-American accolades.
Prior to being named UW-Oshkosh's sixth head coach, Walsh served as an assistant coach with the Titans from 2001 to 2003.
Walsh, a 2000 UW-Oshkosh graduate and former gymnast for the Titans is a Kewaskum, Wis., native. She and her husband Victor have three children, Aiden, Ireland and Valient.
