Gymnastics Ends MAC Regular Season With A Loss To Western Michigan

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's gymnastics team (4-12, 1-7 MAC) fell to Western Michigan on Friday night in Irving Gym by a score of 191.775 to 189.900 in its last Mid-American Conference regular season meet of the year.
The Cardinals managed a 47.575 on vault, collected a 48.175 on bars, earned a 46.600 on beam and ended the night with a 47.550 on floor.
Freshman Bibiana Rodriguez-Lockwood and junior Kristin Sprague highlighted the evening with their powerful performances on bars. Rodriguez-Lockwood stunned the audience after scoring a personal best 9.800 which earned her first place honors. Sprague collected a career-high 9.725 and took second place for BSU.
In her last meet at BSU senior Jenna Tarkington led the Cardinals on vault after scoring a 9.700 which was good for second place. BSU also said good-bye to senior Kelly Watson who tied for second in the all-around after scoring a 38.325.
Junior Brittany George was the high scorer for BSU on beam with a 9.575 and classmate Erica Gilkerson headed the way for BSU on floor with a 9.675.
