Elizabeth Milian Named MAC West Division Pitcher Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. ? Freshman Elizabeth Milian (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc H.S.) has been named the Mid-American Conference West Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office March 23.
The award is the first in Milian's career. Milian recorded five starts on the mound for the Cardinals competing against Jacksonville early in the week and finishing in the USF Speedline Tournament in Tampa, Fla.
Milian went 2-3 with a 2.86 ERA last week. Milian threw five complete games including a one-hitter against Wisconsin to record a 3-0 win for Ball State. Overall, she pitched 34.2 innings and recorded 15 strikeouts.
Milian and the Cardinals will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to compete in the Hawkeye Classic this weekend starting March 24 vs. North Dakota State.
