
Gymnastics Loses at Bowling Green in MAC Action

In vault, the Cardinals earned a 48.500 as a team to beat the Falcons who only scored a 48.425. The 48.500 was BSU's best vault performance all season. Leading the way for BSU was senior Jenna Tarkington who took first place after she scored a 9.850 which was a season. Junior Erica Gilkerson along with teammate senior Kelly Watson both finished fourth and fifth respectively. Gilkerson scored a 9.750 and Watson owned a 9.725 both of which were season and personal highs for the two Cardinals.
Freshman Alex Tuthill led the way for BSU on beam with a second place finish after scoring a 9.775, good for a personal and season high. Teammate Brittany Bauer came in third with a 9.700.
Freshman Bibiana Rodriguez-Lockwood took second place on the uneven bars after recording a 9.525. It was Rodriguez-Lockwood's best performance of the year.
BSU struggled on floor with Watson leading the way after a fourth place finish with a score of 9.625.
