
Men's Tennis Drops 4-3 Match To Purdue

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team had a near win to Purdue but dropped its dual match to the Boilermakers by a score of 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at the YMCA Tennis Center. BSU falls to 3-6 on the season.
The Cardinals started strong after earning the doubles point to take an early 1-0 edge over the Boilermakers. Aaron Phillips alongside teammate Jorge Rodriguez defeated Purdue's twosome of Paul Foley and Branko Kuzmanovic 8-5 at the No. 2 spot. In No. 3 doubles Joe Vallee and Jarrod Epkey earned an 8-6 win over Eric Hodgman and PJ Rose.
Joe Epkey rallied to beat Rose in three sets, 6-3, 6-7 (6), 7-5 for his victory at No. 1 singles.
