The Cardinals then won five of the six singles matches with their only loss coming at the No. 1 spot. Calderwood posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over McLoughlin. In the third flight Pollack claimed a tie breaking win 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-1) against Michelle Hawes. BSU continued its winning trends after Christine Stromberg earned a 6-3, 7-6 (7) victory against Becky Jenkins. Emma Retter retired Rachon, 6-0, 6-0 and Katherine Rist took the win over
