Track Wins Eight at Butler Twilight

Junior Amanda Barnhart led the squad winning the long jump with a NCAA regional qualifying mark of 20-00 1/2. The score is a season and team best mark this season.
Sophomore Yvonne Ferguson took home the title in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.45. Fellow teammate Christina Poulson added a win in the 100 dash clocking in at 12.37.
Senior Bridgett Coleman and junior Amanda Brewer fared well in the 400 hurdles. Coleman won the event with a time of 1:03.04, while Brewer placed third with a time of 1:04.90.
Senior Jennifer McCoy and Lanae Sotvall tied for first in the high jump with marks of 5-0. Stovall picked up her second win of the day in the 100 hurdles (14.64).
Adding wins off the track were juniors Cara Collins and Tamelca Lewis. Collins placed first in the discus with a team-best score of 144-04. Lewis earned first-place honors in the triple jump with a mark of 41-00 1/4.
In the 1,500 three Cardinals earned top-times. Senior Jill Scully finished third with a team-best time of 4:34.64. Senior Nicole Hartford finished fourth with BSU's second-best time of the season (4:34.46), while junior Rose Lehe placed eighth with the squad's third-best time of the year (4:48.10).
Up next, the Cardinals head to the MAC Championships held in Toledo, Ohio. Competition kicks off Thursday and runs through Saturday.
