For the first round, matches will consist of two games to 30 points - - winning by two - - and one game to 15 points. In the second round, there will be two games to 30 points and if time permits, one game to 15.
Last week, the BSU squad posted a 1-7 game record at the University of Toledo Tournament. BSU split with Youngstown State, while dropping matches to Hillsdale, Wright State and Michigan.
For the second-straight week, Amanda McCormick paced the defense, collecting 71 digs in seven games for a 10.14 digs-per-game average.
Brittany May also led the Ball State offense for the second-straight week, smashing 34 kills in eight games for a 4.25 kills-per-game average. She also hit a team-best .310 (34-12-71) at the event.
Also playing for the Cardinals in the event were: Kelly Cochran (6 games, 15 kills, 26 digs); Kirby Gibson (8 games, 22 kills, 4 digs, 3 blocks); Angie Parrell (6 games, 11 kills, 8 digs, 1 blocks); Elaina Kakatolis (8 games, 10 kills, 4 dig, 1 blocks); Lanee Mikesell (4 game, 14 digs); Madison Monk (5 games, 11 kills, 9 digs); Rachel Alcorn (5 games, 9 kills, 25 digs); Caitlin Morency (4 games, 6 digs) and Molly Sullivan (3 game, 2 kills, 9 digs, 1 block).
Ball State concludes its 2006 spring schedule next Saturday at Indiana.
